Protect Your Kin

Privacy Policy

What Protect Your Kin collects, what it does with it, who receives it, and the choices you have.

Last updated: September 6, 2026

Protect Your Kin (“we,” “us,” “our”) operates protectyourkin.com, an insurance marketing service that connects families and individuals looking for life insurance with licensed insurance advisers. This policy covers the website and the communications that follow a submission on it.

Information we collect

What you give us

When you complete our questionnaire we collect what you enter: your age range, who depends on your income, your household income, whether you have coverage today, your desired coverage amount, ZIP code, name, email address, and mobile phone number. We do not ask for health information, account numbers, a Social Security number, or a date of birth on this site.

What we record automatically

With every submission we record your IP address, browser user agent, the page you submitted from, the date and time, and the exact consent language you agreed to. That is your consent record, and we keep it so we can prove what you agreed to and when.

Cookies, pixels, and advertising

We and our advertising partners (such as Meta) use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies to measure how you reached the site and whether an advertisement led to a submission. Where a click identifier or campaign parameter is present in the address that brought you here, we store it with your submission. You can limit cookies in your browser settings and limit ad measurement in the settings of the platform that showed you the advertisement.

How we use it

Who receives your request

Your request is shared with a licensed insurance agency we work with and its appointed advisers, for the purpose of responding to it, including through a lead-distribution platform that routes your request to someone licensed in your state. If you choose to apply for coverage, your information goes to the insurance carrier. We also share information with service providers that host our site, deliver messages, and measure advertising, under contracts that limit what they may do with it. A current list of the agencies we route requests to is available on request at privacy@protectyourkin.com.

We do not sell your information to unrelated third parties for their own marketing. Some state laws treat sharing for targeted advertising as a “sale” or “share”; see Do Not Sell or Share My Info for how to opt out. We may also disclose information when the law requires it, to protect our rights, or as part of a merger or sale of the business.

Text messages

Mobile information collected on this site is used to run the Protect Your Kin Alerts text program described in our SMS & Opt-Out Policy: confirming your request, introducing the licensed adviser handling it, scheduling, and follow-up about the coverage you asked about.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties, other than the providers that deliver our messages on our behalf and are bound not to use it for anything else. The categories of sharing above exclude your text-messaging opt-in data.

Your choices

Every way to stop hearing from us is on the Unsubscribe page.

State privacy rights

Residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas, Oregon, and other states with comprehensive privacy laws have specific rights over their personal information. We extend the same rights to everyone. This section is the notice those laws require.

We collect these for the purposes listed under “How we use it” and disclose them to the recipients listed under “Who receives your request.” Internet activity and identifiers may be shared with advertising partners for measurement and targeted advertising, which some laws define as a “sale” or “share.” We do not collect sensitive personal information on this site, we do not use your information for profiling with legal or similarly significant effects, and we do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16.

Your rights

How to exercise them

Email privacy@protectyourkin.comwith the subject “Privacy Request”, or call (813) 822-0484. Tell us which right you are exercising and include the name, email, and phone number you submitted so we can find your record. We verify requests by matching them to that record, and we may ask for more information if they don’t match. You may use an authorised agent; we may ask for proof of the authorisation. We respond within 45 days, and will tell you if we need an extension the law allows. If we decline a request you may appeal by replying to our response, and we will explain the outcome of the appeal and how to contact your state’s attorney general if you are still not satisfied.

Retention

We keep your submission and consent record for as long as needed to respond to your request and to meet our legal and record-keeping obligations, including the retention of consent records under telemarketing law, which is at least five years from the last communication. Advertising measurement data is kept in aggregate.

Security

Information submitted through this site travels over an encrypted connection and is stored in systems with access limited to people who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

This site is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top reflects the latest revision, and continued use of the site after a change means you accept it. Material changes to how we use information already collected will be notified to the email address you gave us.
